Happy Gilmore Gator Caught

On Texan golf course

A one-eyed alligator named after a character from the film Happy Gilmore now lives at a Gator farm after it was captured on a golf course in Richmond, Texas, earlier this week.

‘Chubbs’ the gator was first spotted roaming the River Pointe Golf Club four months ago, but it was only last week the ‘Gator Squad’ were called in to nab the 12-foot-long 600 pound creature.

Ruben Lopez, the general manager of the golf club told ABC News that seeing alligator on the green is common, but some golfers were intimidated by the one-eyed reptiles size after he started showing up on the green more frequently.

The alligator was nicknamed ‘Chubbs’ after the character of Chubbs Peterson played by Carl Weathers in the Adam Sandler golf film “Happy Gilmore.”
