Stop smiling dear, Bond doesn't smile

Henrik Stenson has announced he's giving up his day job to follow a career in the movies, just days after winning a European Tour Poll on which golfer would make the best James Bond. Stenson won with 44% of the vote, from a field including Rory McIlroy, Lee Slattery, Alvaro Quiros, and Martin Kaymer.

Bond, where's your tie?

Except he hasn't. The Swede joked on his Facebook page "After my poor play in CIMB Classic I have decided to leave golf briefly to pursue a new career in acting, my earliest return to the game I love will be Tuesday morning next week at HSBC in Shanghai.......there is at least a 80/30 chance that I will be on the range!! The other 10% says putting green if anyone wondered! H".

While the three wood smashing Swede looks good in a tux, we think these three would make better 007 Irons.

Tiger Woods

Even his Tux trousers are pleated

Pros: Good with the ladies, internationally traveled, focused on the job at hand. 

Cons: Would need a wig. Wears terrible clothes. American.

Adam Scott

Bond Girl: 'Is there time before we leave, for Lesson number 3?' 
Bond: 'Of course. There's no sense going out half-cocked.'

Pros: Winning Smile. Looks good in a tux. The ladies love him.

Cons: Australian (So was George Lazenby- Ed), not much else to be fair.

Matteo Manaserro​

Bond Girl: “Oh, how reckless of me. I made you all wet.”
Bond: “Yes, but my martini is still dry. My name is James.”

Pros: Looks the part. Got time on his hands as he's playing poorly at the moment. 

Cons: Too young, Italian, too good to be rubbish at golf for long!
