Alex Noren holds British Masters lead

On moving day at The Grove

Alex Noren holds a three shot lead at the end of moving day at The Grove. But there is a chasing pack.

Noren started the day one shot behind Richard Bland and had birdies at the second and sixth to move to 12 under and catch up with his playing partner.

Noren then took the outright lead when he sunk a ten-foot birdie putt at the tenth to get to 13 under.

He pulled off a phenomenal par save at the 11th, tapping in from 12 feet to stay ahead.

Bland dropped a shot at the 12th, and Noren's advantage was increased to two shots. Noren then put his foot down over the final holes, with three birdies on the last four holes to finish his round with a 65, with not a single shot dropped.

Bland fought back with birdies of his own on the par 5 15th and the par 5 18th to narrow the gap to three.

But there is a strong chasing pack, with Peter Hanson, Bernd Wiesberger Richard Sterne and Tommy Fleetwood all on 12 under.
