New Golf Academy for Alcanada

Time to get packing for Mallorca

Golfers keen to improve their game under sunny skies are being invited to head to Mallorca to take advantage of a range of new tuition packages at Club de Golf Alcanada this spring.

The stunning venue, located in the north of Mallorca, is offering a comprehensive range of learning programs to suit players of all ages and abilities over the coming months at its newly- rebranded Lighthouse Golf Academy, with hourly lessons, quick-fix or week-long packages all available.

Run by the club’s head professional John Verhappen, beginners, intermediates and advanced golfers can benefit from expert tuition in all areas of the game with Alcanada’s choice of three and five-day programs which include rental club hire – with prices starting from €249 per person (approximately £191).

All sessions include the use of the latest FlightScope and Swing Catalyst technology, with lessons available in Spanish, English, German, Dutch or French.

In addition, golfers can also take advantage of the chance to be measured for their ideal set of golf clubs by booking a TaylorMade club-fitting session. Fitting-session prices start from just €30, with the charge refunded if you decide to buy new clubs with Alcanada after the fitting.

Alcanada’s 7,108-yard, Robert Trent Jones Jr-designed course has won a steady stream of awards since opening 12 years ago.

Sitting in a breathtaking location overlooking the Bay of Alcudia and adjacent to the Mediterranean, Alcanada is the only course on the island next to the sea.

Opened in October 2003, the layout blends naturally into the typical Mallorcan terrain and takes its name from an island with a lighthouse, situated just offshore, which can be seen from most of the holes.

Magnificent mountain and sea views and a mixture of pine and olive groves, provide the splendid setting for a round at Alcanada and the course is recognised by the golf industry as one of the finest venues in Spain and Europe and is a member of the prestigious World of Leading Golf collection.

We’ve already packed. See you all later.
